Dance Performance TABIR - by Wangi Indria

Wangi Indria is a contemporary choreographer and dancer from Indramayu who also has a background as a dalang wayang purwa. He has been involved in a variety of performances with Indonesian and foreign artists. He most recently performed in I La Galigo by Robert Wilson. In 2004 he collaborated with Lotte Reiniger in “Silhouette Animation Film” in Jakarta. Along with Rasinah and Sanggar Mulya Bhakti Indramayu he toured Europe performing masked dance and wayang kulit. For this performance at TUK, Wangi presents Tabir, that shows the pain and unrequited love that finally leads to revenge and suffering. Performing with Wangi Indria, are Yani, and Ari T as dancers, along with Slamet Gundono as special guest; lighting and artistic direction by Galis AG.
